If your style is more rock and roll than country club, then New York has the perfect wedding venue for you in Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory.
The original Knitting Factory was founded in 1987 and soon became a New York music icon. And though the legendary Knitting Factory in Tribeca may be gone, the Brooklyn location is becoming a popular replacement. It’s the perfect wedding venue for a couple that loves something a little out of the ordinary, a little offbeat. And of course, it’s the best possible place for a couple of music-loving lovebirds!
Here, you can create your own piece of history by having saying “I do” right on the Knitting Factory stage. The front bar is the perfect place for a cocktail hour with your choice of drinks and champagne, and the main space has plenty of room for dinner and dancing. They can accommodate up to about 150 guests.
Because the Knitting Factory is a concert venue, they can help you arrange the best sort of modern decor: lighting custom-designed by their staff, full-wall projections, and anything else you might dream up! If you want a live band (and if you’re getting married in the Knitting Factory, you probably do!) the staff here can help you find the perfect one to entertain your guests and set the mood for a fun, laid-back party that lasts all night long. And if you prefer to go with a DJ, they have a state of the art sound system that will make you feel like the live band is there anyway!
We’ve rarely had more fun photographing a wedding than we did at the Knitting Factory. And shouldn’t a fun night surrounded by your favorite people be what a wedding is all about?
